Cathal Moran & Co. Auctioneers Ltd are an established firm of Auctioneers and Chartered Valuation Surveyors with their main regional Office at Church Street, Athenry, Co. Galway.

Spearheaded by Cathal Moran who is a fully qualified Chartered Valuation Surveyor and Auctioneer and is a native of Tiaquin, Athenry, Cathal is also a member of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. Cathal holds a degree in Valuation Surveying, a Diploma in Property Economics from Trinity College Dublin and Bolton Street respectively.

Cathal Moran Auctioneers and Chartered Surveyors have a wealth of experience in all facets of the property market in Galway and the West of Ireland and offer a specialised and bespoke professional service in the property arena.

Cathal Moran set out working with one of Dublin’s leading Commercial Property Estate Agents where he worked in the Commercial and Valuation department dealing in property valuations, commercial property valuations and specialist valuations, rent reviews, landlord and tenant relations aswell as sales and agency. Cathal then progressed to Rooney Auctioneers in Galway where he worked for 6 ½ years as a Senior Negotiator and Property Surveyor in both Residential and Commercial. Subsequently Cathal opened his own General Practice in 2002 with its regional base in Athenry, Co. Galway.

Coming from a strong traditional sporting background Cathal has represented the local club – Athenry and County Galway in all grades in Hurling having played minor, under 21 and senior for Galway. Cathal is a holder of three All-Ireland club medals with his native Athenry Hurling team which is steeped in Hurling folklore. Cathal’s father Georgie is a local legend.

The firm have moved to our new Office just recently at Church Street, Athenry, Co. Galway.
